Got Ink?

So yesterday I got my first tattoo. I didn’t know it’ll be that easy. It took the artist less than 30 mins to finish.

So what’s my tat?

Live. Love. Laugh. Inspire.

These are the four words I live by. I get to do the first three things everyday but I haven’t been an inspiration so I’m trying my best to be one.

I’m not a perfect little girl who graduated with honors, been awarded by known people for something I did, haven’t done so good it changed the world but I aspire to inspire the people close to me. And so I’m trying. Really hard.

I might actually be one of those girls your mom warned you about. I party, I drink, I shop (A LOT), did things few girls would regret if they were in my shoes (but I don’t and won’t) BUT I do LIVE the way I want to; I LOVE with no questions asked; I LAUGH like there’s no tomorrow; and I want to INSPIRE the way I know how.

So tell me if I inspired you even with the smallest things in life so I would have an idea that I’m actually doing something good for a change.

plan, get it done, travel, party.

Aide from getting regularized in my new job (and hopefully get promoted), these are my 2011 agenda:

1. PLAN – list down priorities, when and where to go, what to do, and how things will be done. I’m planning to do an Asean tour on my own, please do not scare me with the movie Taken and that Discovery Chanel’s series ‘Locked Up Abroad’. I’m damn scared already, can you atleast try to encourage me? Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, and S. Korea. Savings, you know where you are going. Lol.

2. GET THINGS DONE – I need to settle all my birth certificate correction shit in two months and that’s too much lead time. My gaaah, if it will not get done by June I’m telling you I will have a bitch fit. By end of July, BIR and SSS cards, and driver’s license should have my correct name. By August, I should be working on my passport name changes and all that shit. By October, I should be all set for all visa applications I need.

3. TRAVEL – Asean Tour. Singapore friends, checked. Malaysia, I’m guessing it’ll just be overnight so I won’t get crazy over there. I need to find friends in Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, and S. Korea so I know I’ll be taken care of if shit happens.

4. PARTY – like a rockstar. ‘Nuff said.

LET'S DO IT!

Ariel’s Point Adventure

Because we cannot get enough of Boracay, JP and I (well together with other 19 friends) went back but this time we didn’t let the trip to Ariel’s Point pass us by. So that Saturday afternoon, with Mr. Sun shining and reigning over the beautiful island, we swallowed all our fears of height, open waters, and too much alcohol.

Located at Buruanga, Aklan just 30 minutes away from Boracay, Ariel’s Point will remind you of Santorini in an exotic kinda way. Boasting five cliff diving platforms overlooking the scenic view of the sea, the journey and the arrival to this amazing destination will keep you in awe.

Setting your trip budget back at P1200, the Ariel’s Point adventure includes roundtrip boat ride, unlimited cliff diving, swimming, snorkeling, BBQ & lunch buffet, and unlimited drinks!

Oh, and about your boat. It’s a pimped out two-floor, Galleon-ish boat that plays hip-hop and RnB music with friendly manongs serving you unlimited rum Coke or San Mig Light.

To read more about Ariel’s Point, please click here.

Before I share some of our pictures, I recommend that you book your Ariel’s Point trip and other Boracay Island adventures to Puka Beach, Malumpati River, and Igpasungaw Falls with Boracay Sidetrip! Spearheaded by the friendly and very acoomodating Jago Olle, I’m sure you’ll have fun as much as we did!

I told you, it has a fantastic view.

This was taken by JP who was standing on the highest ramp of Ariel's Point. Too high for a small girl like me! Teehee!

The guys we were with were so brave! They keep on jumping and jumping and jumping! Gosh, it took me four minutes to jump off the lowest ramp!

That's my good friend JP braving the height and the ouch factor when his butt hits the water.

After jumping, you can swim to this raft and catch your breath. But make sure you still have your bikinis on! You don't want to pull a Heidi Montag, don't you?

Double YAY for Lunch Buffet! Yum!

We were such a big group! The greatest thing about Ariel's Point is that you'll meet new people from around the globe! AFAM Nation galore! So by the time you get back to Boracay Island, I'm sure your group of five will become group of 10 (the least)! Isn't it fun? :)

Oh, Ariel’s Point is looove. Me likey.

Annual Summer Getaway

My friends (Buds, her LeBoyf Dong, Kaye and Kapitana EJ) vowed that every year we’ll have a summer getaway since all of us are earning our own money already. We started last year and had a blast in Boracay (read all about it here)! It was sooo fun that we don’t want to leave yet! But we had to since we all need to go back to our day jobs. Booooo.

This year, we decided to go to magnificent Mindanao and set our feet in Cagayan de Oro, Camiguin and Bukidnon, all in four days! Oh boy, these places were absolutely breathtaking!

Minus the tsunami alert and the scary ship ride from Camiguin back to Cagayan de Oro,  our annual summer trip was über fun!

Of Likes and Unlikes:

In our four-day trip, we’ve been to so many places and did so many things! We also got the funniest quotable quotes mostly from our Kapitana EJ but we got our fair share, too! Here are two of my favorites:

“Eh yung ganito na nga yung katawan ko, apat na yung nanliligaw sa akin. Paano pa pag pumayat ako?”

“Ano ba yan tingin sila ng tingin sa boobs ko! Di nila alam puro taba lang yan!”

Haha! And we were speechless.

♪♫♪ Freshly baked at Missy Bon Bon… ♪♫♪ This cutesie-patootsie breadshop got us with their hip and cozy interiors , plus the fact that we are suckers for yellow lights! From local bread products  to gelato mixes, this shop can never go wrong! Oh, except the shop’s jingle playing in loop mode. Ugh.

SLERS Chicharon is that kind of pasalubong you SHOULD buy for everyone back in Manila. This crunchy and tasty pork skin is so yummy and addictive that you won’t care about your batok anymore.

Cogon Street where everything is orange after 5PM! Kaye who is an addict to isaw (chicken’s intestine) brought us to where the best ihaw-ihaw action is! Our dinner for six people was only 260 bucks! BINGO!

The cheapest videoke session ever (except Dreamland’s And EJ’s house, of course)! Our videoke room at Will’s Place was priced at 180 bucks per room good for five people. Their updated songlist (they have Bruno Mars already!) is better than Music Match in Ortigas! Oh, their rooms have their own comfort room and a desktop with fast internet service. So if you’re not singing, you can stalk your crush in Facebook. Teehee!

Camiguin’s White Island. Need I say more?

Katibawasan Falls is the tallest waterfalls I have seen so far. It measures 250 feet high that rushes down to a green pool that welcomes you to swim. Just a little warning though, it is spine-tingling cold.

We never got to finish the Stations of The Cross (we only got to the second station) and never got to the end of the Walkway because we were sooo tired by the time we got to this stop. Because we knew it is a major hike we didn’t really try. Boo us. But as many bloggers said, it will be worth the muscle pains because once you’ve reached the top, you’ll have a fantastic view of Camiguin Island.

One of most beautiful sights in Camiguin is the Guiob Church Ruins. Damaged by the violent eruption of Mount Vulcan, the place still holds its natural ‘oomph’. The old church, convent, and bell tower is an awesome backdrop as you take random  pictures of yourselves on the lush bermuda grass.

Standing like its guarding the whole island is the large cross of the Sunken Cemetery. Being the scaredy-cat that I am, crossing the waters to get to the cross is a big no-no for me. Seeing it from afar is already breathtaking! Besides, I’m not ready to see the corpses’ production of Little Mermaid’s Under The Sea.

BG music: I Believe I Can Fly. The Dahilayan Adventure Park houses the longest zipline in Asia with 840 meters trail launched at 4700 feet above sea level. So if you want to be Superman for a day (well for a minutes actually), go brave the challenge like we did! It will set you back for P600 bucks for all the  zip rides (150m, 320m, and 840m).

We are sooo awesome because we did this! Haha! Braving the raging rapids while singing for four hours was too easy for us. Kiddin’! With all water splashing on our faces, Elaine’s shrieking, deaf lead paddler aka Dong, and the guide’s laugh-out-loud jokes, waking up at 5am in the morning after avideoke/drinking session was worth it. The white water rafting adventure will set you back for 1000 bucks with free lunch after you traversed 21 rapids for advance course.

We always want the good stuff. Who wouldn’t? But if there are ‘likes’, there are ‘unlikes’! There are just few of ‘em but still it would make you frown for a few seconds. Let us count those debbie-downers.

Our connecting flight. Darn, it was such a hassle. We have to go to Cebu first then take the 1pm flight to Cagayan de Oro. Not like we have a choice. Prrft. It could have been better if we could have seen Cebu for a while. Teehee.

It just breaks my heart to see something like this. :( If we could just take care of Mother Earth more than what we are doing now.

The rice serving that ripped us off. Cafe Wien located At mactan International Airport serves their one cup of rice like this. Can somebody please show me if there is a such up shaped like this? Please! That’s not a cup of rice, that’s just 2/3 of it! My friends know that I love my rice sooo much that s why I was so pissed to see something like this on my plate. And that’s 200 bucks per meal! Prrft.

Our CDO-Camiguin-Bukidnon trip is one of the best trips I’ve taken and I am looking forward to more fun trips aorund my beautiful country in the next few months.

Next Stop for the Kaladkarins: Cebu-Bohol trip! Let’s get ready!

Boracay is where my heart is.

Right about this time, JP, Jan, Martin and I are on the move to find the our spot on the endless shore of Boracay while sightseeing on the side. If we’re still on the island, that is.

Few weeks ago, the four of us we’re causing havoc in NAIA Terminal 4, recording home videos with Jan’s HD pocket videocam, dancing to Rihanna’s songs or whatever was playing and just being plain crazy.

Boracay was our home and we just fit there.

These made our Boracay trip EPIC:

Our smooth Cebu Pacific plane ride to Kalibo. No turbulence there! Yay!

The bumpy boat ride that kept us wet even before we got to the swimming part of the trip.

Hanging out by the beach like there's no tomorrow!

camwhoring. need i say more?

all night partying and dancing like crazy!

new found friends!

Of course, how can I forget?

EPIC Boracay located at D'Mall Beachfront, Station 2, Boracay Island (where Hey Jude was before) Photo by Photos by Greg Pierce Borrowed from their Facebook Page :)

You’ll miss half of your Boracay trip if you will not party in EPIC. It’s the place to be when you’re in this beautiful island! With friendly waiters and waitresses,  add to that that their Happy Hour (Buy One Take One on Local Beers and Standard Cocktails) starts at 2PM and ends at 8PM, EPIC is the cherry on top of your island señorita vacation!

Located at D’Mall Beachfront in Station 2, you won’t miss this resto-bar’s cool interior as it is a breath of fresh air from the customary resto-club look you always see in Boracay. EPIC is very open (al-fresco) so in case the party gets a little crowded, don’t be shy to kick your shoes (or in this case, beach sandals or thongs) off and feel the sand while you dance like it’s 2012, as Jay Sean said!

*** As I write/type this entry, they are currently having fun as FHM Philippines celebrates their Bikini Heaven anniversary party in EPIC today! Press-con and autograph signing will happen this afternoon so don’t forget to bring your FHM Philipines March 2011 issue with the hot Solenn Heusaff on the cover! (Ooooh, girl-crush alert!) And you kinda need that magazine, too, to enter the hottest FHM party tonight! Hot girls, good music, and lotsa booze coming your way!

Yes, I’m jealous I didn’t go. Ticket gone to waste. Boo me.

end-start

Sorry Blog for I have not blogged for a long time. This is my first blog since my two months hiatus.

This blog will be short and sweet.

I have resigned from my marketing job and will venture to a new one as a Media Relations Coordinator for Ogilvy& Mather Philippines. And fart, I am excited!

So cheers to a new beginning! :)

Welcome Liz!

And i finally got one.

Gosh, it feels so good to have a dog. I’ve be’en wanting one since I was a kid. And now I have her.

Meet Liz, the cutest lion dog ever. She was named after Liz Uy, who I adore so dearly. I know it’s kinda harsh to name my dog after her but I don’t mean any harm. For real. I originally wanted to name her Kendra then I shifted to Nomnom then I finally decided to name her Kendra Elizabeth or Liz for short.

This is our first picture together. Both of us were stressed when this was taken. Liz, because of travelling all the way from Cavite to Mandaluyong, and I, because of never ending workload.

looking forward to the next 10 years with you Liz!

first ever

Earlier today, A and I went to Rockwell to just look around. But I need to replace the wallet that was stolen from me. So I bought one.

Just like the one above but mine is black and gold. Woot!

My first ever designer wallet and I am hoping it won’t be stolen again. Please?

P.S.

I saw the cutest tote in Michael Kors today. I fell in love again. Prfft.

bag tags

I have the cutest bag tags in the world!

My good friend Ade gave me these as Christmas presents for 2009 and 2010 and I LOOOVE them!

Cool bag tags! They are so me!

I’m liking the pink one more these days maybe because she’s wearing pink and my name is pink, too! Oh, and she’s holding a drink as well and I am planning to do that on my next Boracay trip! Yay!

If you want one, you can contact Ade or Gilbert Singson from Tagz Inc thru their mobile 0917 5431653 or shoot them an email @ tagzinc@yahoo.com.
